Rest Is Ya' Weapon
When you are rested you get clarity on you next move, let's talk about it!
Hey Girl!
How was your week? Did you get some rest? Did you take time to be thankful for what you accomplished this week big or small?
I must say that I am beyond proud of myself. January normally is filled with oversized personal goals, stressed times, being full of anxiety. Simply doing too much and putting so much pressure on me to be more, do more, prove to others I deserve to just be. When I say no one should live like this I mean no one! So I have decided to live very differently this year. It’s about being rested to gain clarity. Rest truly is your weapon!
We resting over here leaning into our goals of being consistent, being focus and minding my business.
Along with those goals I have been getting back to dreaming big again. Last Sunday I listened to a sermon by Pastor Hannah. When I tell you I have been in my, “What do you have to lose” bag so deep lately. I am out here doing all the things I have been nervous and scared to do! I am very unsure of so much but absolutely sure that fear can no longer run my life as it has in the past. Walking completely in Faith & Delusion I am so excited about what 2024 will bring, one day at a time!
Happy Friday Girl!
Get your weapon of rest and get some clarity & peace.
Love ya,
Girl Be You!
What I’m Reading
Yinka, Where is Your Husband? is the first book for the relaunched Girl Be You Book Club. I must say I personally resonate so much with this read. As I read I am reminded of all the years folks would ask, “Jee, when are you getting married?” Whew! They never got tired of asking I never got tired of telling them to mind their business in the kindest of ways. If you read or share in this book community join Today!
Jee’s Bookstack from 2023:

Vegan Eatery
It’s January, I have seen so many people sharing how they are on the Daniel Fast. Some are sharing how difficult it is to eat super clean. I saw someone who wasn’t eating meat tearing down some Flamin’ Hots and cheese. Again, not my business. I thought I would take this time to share with yall some true vegan recipes that are NOT Flamin’ Hots with cheese.
I have been vegan for almost 4 years. I must admit I will cheat a bit from time to time but nothing too crazy. I don’t take pictures of all my meals just thought I would share two meals that were completely vegan with not a Flamin’ Hot chip in site. (lol)

#1: Breakfast Bowl: Trader Joe’s hash browns, Just Egg with spinach, vegan cheese, tomatoes, avocado, topped with some Cholula hot sauce
#2: Kale & Arugula Salad: Kale (massage with olive oil for about 2mins let rest), arugula. red onions, cucumbers, avocado with Toasted Sesame Salad Dressing from Trader Joes!
